A monopod is what you use when a tripod is too slow and handheld is too shaky. It takes the weight, kills the worst of the vertical shake, and still lets you reposition between shots in seconds.
The WF-3958 extends from 580 mm folded to 1465 mm and weighs 990 g, so it can hang off a shoulder all day. The fluid head gives smooth panning and tilting rather than the stiff, jerky movement of a plain mount, which is what makes it usable for video rather than just stills. Aluminium construction takes the knocks of run-and-gun work.
Rented for event coverage, documentary and any shoot that moves too often to keep resetting a tripod. Supports DSLRs and video cameras.
